Angelo & Veronica, a match made in musical heaven, are celebrating 35 years of marriage, ministry and music together. Their official debut album, Higher Place, was released in August 1992. They have won three Dove awards, including Urban Album of the Year and Contemporary Black Gospel Song of the Year for their self-penned song, “God Knows”. They have also received a GMWA Excellence Award nomination. In 2015, they were awarded honorary doctorates for their music.

Angelo Petrucci, of Italian descent, was born in Boston, MA. Angelo’s father, a professional jazz guitar player, taught him guitar at age five. When Angelo’s father needed heart surgery, Angelo replaced his dad in his jazz band at just thirteen years old. With his ability to sing and play guitar, he became one of the most sought after musicians in Boston. Angelo won a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Veronica Torres, of Puerto Rican descent, was born in the Bronx, NY. Angelo first heard Veronica sing in the Berklee Gospel Choir when she was nineteen years old. Angelo says as soon as he saw Veronica, he said, “that’s my wife.” They were married in April of ’92.

Angelo has produced three solo albums for Veronica Petrucci. The newly released remastered Made It Out Alive Deluxe Edition has 4 unreleased tracks and features Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Mississippi Mass Choir, Shirley Murdock, Canton Jones, Will Champlin and Angelo Petrucci. She has won the Atlanta Gospel Choice Award for Best Female Artist and the Block Buster Showcase Music Award for Song of the Year for her song, “Made It Out Alive”. Veronica’s book, How I Made It Out Alive, is her personal testimony of overcoming fear and depression..

Angelo’s expertise includes being a musician, guitar player, producer, sound and mix engineer. Veronica is a prolific songwriter and together have written well over 150 songs.

A&V have released fifteen albums together, including their latest, Created for You. They teach online voice training called Master Your Voice. In 2015, they started Higher Place Church. They have been given an internet radio station playing their music 24/7. They have started a new podcast called Truth about the Music Industry. They recently went viral with their song, “All Things Work” with 1.5 million views on social media.
